Wm. Chad Colson, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Chad Colson, born in Union, SC, was raised in Greenville, SC. After graduating from Mauldin High School, Chad attended Clemson University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1996. During his senior year, he was awarded a scholarship to attend dental school through the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Navy and was commissioned as an officer. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000.
After graduation, Dr. Colson completed residency training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program through the US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in San Diego, CA. During his tour of active duty, he met his wife, Dr. Jill Wonder Colson. He completed his active duty stationed onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) and returned from a six-month deployment to the Persian Gulf in March 2004. Both he and his wife received honorable discharges from the US Navy in the summer of 2004. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Colson, along with his wife became partners in a private practice in Conway, SC. Personal and professional goals led them to Greenville, SC in 2014 to establish Dentistry at Pelham Pointe–formerly the practice of Dr. Roy Strickland.
Dr. Colson enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with an emphasis on the placement and restoration of dental implants. His passion, skill, and commitment have earned him the advanced credentialing of Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Also, Dr. Colson has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry.
