Jill Wonder Colson, DMD, FAGD

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Jill was raised in a family of dentists including her father, her uncle and her brother. Jill attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996. Upon graduation, she was awarded a scholarship to attend dental school through the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Navy and was commissioned as an officer. In 2000, she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Colson completed residency training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program through the US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her active duty stationed onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) and was deployed during September 11th. During her tour of active duty, she met her husband, Dr. William Chad Colson. Both she and her husband received honorable discharges from the US Navy in the summer of 2004. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Colson, along with her husband became partners in a private practice in Conway, SC.  Personal and professional goals led them to Greenville, SC in 2014 to establish Dentistry at Pelham Pointe–formerly the practice of Dr. Roy Strickland.

In 2006, Dr. Colson was awarded the honor of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an award demonstrating commitment to quality and continuing education. She also received the New Dentist Award from the South Carolina Dental Association for her work within the association and new dentists. In 2013, she was selected by her peers to be a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honorary organization recognizing outstanding dentists and celebrating their achievements.  She actively pursues continuing education at the renowned Spear Education Facility in Scottsdale, AZ.

Dr. Colson is motivated and driven to deliver uncompromising dental excellence by
incorporating fundamental principles and techniques to minimize the risk for patients’
dental health. Her goal is to provide this care in an atmosphere of compassion,
gentleness, and devotion–a sense that comes only when the patient is truly
comfortable and informed about his or her dental experience.
